The Old Bear and Friends books, by Jane Hissey were made into a BAFTA award winning stop frame animation television series for children. The television series, started in 1993, and ran for 3 seasons, which ended in 1997 with a double-length Christmas special. In all, 41 episodes were made. The series was originally broadcast in the UK and has also been broadcast in the US, Canada and other countries worldwide.
