~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is my mother's teddy bear.
It was given to her when she was a girl in France, during or just after the war (WW2), so is about sixty years old. At that time they did not have much material for making bears so his body fur does not quite match his arms and legs, or head, and he is stuffed with straw, so is rather "hard" ... but still cuddly!
My mother gave her bear to me a long time ago, I repaired his leg joint with a piece of wire, bent into a sort of clip, which has worked OK so he can walk (and sit) again.
I took him home recently, and the picture shows him in my mother's chair, wearing her glasses and finishing off her Sudoku puzzle.
Mum was surprised to see him, as she had not seen him in a number of years, and had almost forgotten about him. He has been sitting on a shelf in my house with my other bears, so was not forgotten really... (Phew!)
He told me he is excited about having his picture in cyber-space, and I hope you enjoy seeing it!
